Attentive Intake

Eric will seek to understand your lifestyle, pain, method of injury and expectations. Your description of the problem will help guide the assessment and treatment plan.

Efficient Assessment + Treatment

Eric uses a combination of orthopaedic, manual muscle testing and movement analysis to understand your injury. During assessment, he implements a logical framework to accurately pinpoint the probable source of your pain and/or dysfunction. Eric is certified in Active Release Technique and will administer manual treatments as necessary.

Your Tailored Plan

Based on his professional assessment, Eric will identify your underlying impairments and prescribe a plan to reach your goals. This plan will be fully explained and easy to follow at home. The aim is to provide you with long-lasting results and get you back to your lifestyle as soon as possible. Eric will recommend follow-up appointments as necessary to provide on-going treatment and track your progress.

Meet Eric

Eric Olympico is a Physiotherapist in Hamilton Ontario. Eric did his undergraduate at Lakehead University where he was the recipient of the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) award for scientific excellence. He completed his Masters of Science in Human Physiology at Western University. In 2012, Eric graduated from McMaster University with a Masters in Physiotherapy. He worked for the David Braley Sports Medicine Clinic at McMaster before pursuing a career in private practice.

Eric works at the Active Relief Centre, at both the Hamilton and Hagersville locations. He is certified in Active Release Technique and is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Eric has worked extensively with athletes. He has treated collegiate athletes at the McMaster Sports Medicine Clinic, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners, national-level powerlifters, and endurance athletic groups. He brings this experience to the everyday person and the casual athlete. Eric is the co-founder and lead instructor of the Motor Assessment Protocols assessment course. Outside of work, Eric enjoys cooking, fly fishing, travel and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
